About Soraya
Soraya Olszewski (so-RAY-a Oh-chef-ski) is a community-minded visual storyteller, artist, and outdoor educator.
Her work focuses on connecting people with the land and one another. She uses meaningful storytelling and experiences to communicate environmental perspectives and inspire action.
Soraya is a graduate of the Environmental Visual Communication program offered by the Royal Ontario Museum and Fleming College. She holds a teaching degree in Outdoor and Experiential Education from Queen’s University, a post-degree certificate in Coastal Ecology from Coast Mountain College, and a BA in Geography from University of Guelph.
Soraya migrates between small communities in Ontario and British Columbia following seasons of work, learning, and play. She is happiest in rubber boots — whether exploring at low tide or fixing up her vintage camper trailer.
